As many of you might already know, November is American Diabetes Month. I decided to participate this year by blogging about my experience with Type 2 Diabetes, as well as everything that goes along with it.
Most of you probably know someone with Diabetes, but not surprisingly, most people don't know very much about the disease itself. Popular media and hearsay provide much misinformation and myth about Diabetes, which makes it very difficult to sort through and find pertinent facts. Even though I have a sister and a dad with Diabetes (Type 1 and Type 2, respectively), I new very little about it...Until I was diagnosed about two months ago.
My hope is that through my experiences, I'll be able to help the general public learn more about Diabetes and understand what it's like to live with this disease.
